Academic Mission
The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health Science program at Cavendish University equips students with a comprehensive understanding of the complex interactions between the environment and human health. This interdisciplinary program integrates principles from biology, chemistry, toxicology, epidemiology, and public policy to address pressing environmental health challenges. Students will develop critical thinking and analytical skills to identify, evaluate, and mitigate environmental hazards that impact communities. Coursework focuses on areas such as water and air quality, food safety, waste management, occupational health, and the health effects of climate change. Graduates will be prepared for careers in government agencies, private sector consulting, non-profit organizations, and research institutions. Key skills developed include risk assessment, environmental monitoring, and public health intervention strategies.
