Academic Mission
The Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood and Primary Education is designed to equip student teachers in Kenya with the foundational knowledge and pedagogical skills necessary to excel in educating young learners. This program emphasizes child development theory, curriculum design, and effective teaching methodologies for both early childhood settings and primary school grades. Students will engage in rigorous coursework covering subject matter content, educational psychology, and inclusive education practices. Practical experience through supervised teaching practice is a core component, allowing students to apply learned principles in real classroom environments. Graduates will be prepared for roles as kindergarten teachers, primary school educators, curriculum developers, and educational administrators within the Kenyan education system. Key skills developed include lesson planning, classroom management, assessment, and fostering a positive learning environment.
