Academic Mission
The Bachelor of Social and Community Development program at Kampala International University equips students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to address complex social issues and foster positive community change. This undergraduate program emphasizes critical analysis of social structures, effective program design and implementation, and ethical community engagement. Students will explore diverse methodologies for social research, advocacy, and participatory development. The curriculum fosters an understanding of social justice principles and the capacity to work collaboratively with individuals, groups, and organizations. Graduates are prepared for roles in non-governmental organizations, government agencies, community-based initiatives, and international development bodies.
