Academic Mission

The Bachelor of Agricultural Extension program at Rwenzori International University is an undergraduate degree designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to bridge the gap between agricultural research and practical application in farming communities. The curriculum encompasses principles of agronomy, animal science, rural sociology, communication, and adult education. Emphasis is placed on participatory extension methodologies, sustainable agricultural practices, and community development strategies. Students will learn to effectively communicate agricultural innovations, facilitate farmer empowerment, and promote sustainable livelihoods. Graduates are prepared for careers in agricultural extension services, community development organizations, NGOs, and agribusiness, possessing key skills in communication, facilitation, and project management.
