Academic Mission
The Bachelor of Public Health program at Uganda Christian University provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of public health. This undergraduate program equips individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to address health challenges within communities and populations. Core coursework covers epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy and management, environmental health, and social and behavioral sciences. Students will engage in rigorous academic study and practical application, preparing them for impactful roles in health promotion and disease prevention. Graduates will be well-prepared for careers in government health agencies, non-governmental organizations, international health bodies, and research institutions, contributing to improved health outcomes and well-being. Key skills developed include data analysis, program planning and evaluation, health communication, and policy advocacy.
