Program Description
The Bachelor of Social Work program at Uganda Christian University equips students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to address complex social issues. This undergraduate program emphasizes a strengths-based, person-in-environment perspective, fostering critical thinking and ethical practice. Students engage in coursework covering human behavior, social welfare policy, community development, and research methods. Through supervised field placements, students gain hands-on experience in diverse human service settings. Graduates are prepared for roles in child welfare, healthcare, mental health, community organizing, and policy advocacy, developing essential skills in client assessment, intervention, and program evaluation.
