Academic Mission
The Master of Development Monitoring and Evaluation program at Uganda Christian University equips students with advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills in designing, implementing, and managing monitoring and evaluation systems for development projects and programs. This master's level program focuses on rigorous data collection, analysis, and reporting techniques to inform evidence-based decision-making and enhance program effectiveness. Students will explore various evaluation methodologies, ethical considerations, and the use of technology in M&E. The curriculum emphasizes critical thinking and analytical abilities necessary for understanding development interventions and their impact. Graduates are prepared for roles in governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations, international development institutions, and research bodies, applying their expertise to assess and improve development outcomes. Key skills developed include program design, data analysis, report writing, and stakeholder engagement.
