Academic Mission

The Master of Laws (LLM) in International Energy Law and Policy at Uganda Christian University provides advanced legal and policy training for professionals engaged with the global energy sector. This program delves into the complex legal frameworks governing energy exploration, production, trade, and regulation, with a particular emphasis on international and comparative perspectives. Students will critically examine issues of energy security, sustainable development, climate change mitigation, and investment law within the energy industry. The curriculum is designed to foster analytical skills in interpreting international energy agreements and national energy policies. Graduates will be equipped for careers in international organizations, government ministries, energy companies, and law firms specializing in energy law. Key skills developed include advanced legal research, policy analysis, and negotiation in the context of international energy transactions.
