Academic Mission
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Security and Forensics program at Uganda Management and Technology University (UTAMU), Kungu Campus, provides a comprehensive foundation in the principles and practices of safeguarding digital information and investigating cybercrimes. Students will explore core concepts in cybersecurity, network defense, cryptography, and digital evidence acquisition and analysis. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and techniques for incident response and digital forensics. Graduates will be equipped with the critical thinking and technical skills necessary to excel in roles such as cybersecurity analyst, digital forensics investigator, and information security manager. This program prepares students for careers in protecting organizations from evolving cyber threats and for roles in law enforcement and legal proceedings involving digital evidence.
