A company has two types of buses; Scania and Isuzu. It has four Isuzu buses each of which can take a maximum of 50 passengers and three Scania buses each of which can carry up to 60 passengers. The company has a total of five drivers available. The hire charges per kilometre are for an Isuzu bus and for a Scania bus. The association wishes to hire buses to a town away and it has Ushs. 3million for to and from. By letting to be the number of Isuzu and Scania buses the association hires respectively; (a) Write down an expression for the members who go on the journey. (b) Write down four inequalities apart from to describe the given condition. (c) Represent the inequalities on the same graph. (d) Use the graph to determine the maximum number of members of the association who go on the journey. Solve for x in the inequality below. Hence draw a number line satisfying the inequality Solve the inequality> A firm makes double deckers applying two processes x and y. The man hours of skilled personnel, semiskilled and machine time per decker are given as below; For each decker made by process x a profit of shs 80,000 is made and for each decker made by process y a profit of shs 40,000 is made. By letting x and y represent the number with each process respectively, write down five inequalities Plot the above inequalities on the same axes and identify the feasible region Write down the objective function Find the number of deckers made by each process in order to maximize profit. By shading the unwanted regions, show the region satisfying the inequalities and on a graph paper. (b). Given that which pair of points in the vertices of the un shaded …
