Program Description
The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery program at the Islamic University in Uganda provides comprehensive training in the foundational sciences and clinical practice of medicine. Students will acquire in-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and therapeutics. The curriculum emphasizes a strong ethical framework and practical skills development through extensive clinical rotations in various medical specialties. This program prepares graduates for the demanding responsibilities of diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases, as well as promoting public health. Graduates are equipped for careers as general practitioners, medical specialists, researchers, and public health professionals. Key skills developed include critical thinking, diagnostic reasoning, patient communication, and surgical proficiency.
