Academic Mission
The Bachelor of Conflict Resolution and Peace Building program at Kampala International University offers a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach to understanding the dynamics of conflict and developing effective strategies for its resolution and the promotion of sustainable peace. Students will engage with theories of conflict, negotiation, mediation, and peacebuilding, examining their application in diverse social, political, and economic contexts. The curriculum emphasizes critical analysis of the root causes of conflict, the impact of violence, and the processes of reconciliation and post-conflict reconstruction. Through rigorous coursework and practical exercises, students develop advanced communication, problem-solving, and collaborative skills essential for navigating complex disputes. Graduates are prepared for careers in diplomacy, international development, humanitarian aid, community organizing, and governmental and non-governmental organizations focused on peace and security.
