Program Description
The Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies at Uganda Pentecostal University provides a comprehensive interdisciplinary exploration of the theories, policies, and practices of development. Students will critically examine the social, economic, political, and environmental dimensions of development challenges and opportunities, both locally and globally. The curriculum emphasizes analytical skills, research methodologies, and practical approaches to understanding and addressing development issues. Through coursework and potential field experiences, students gain an understanding of sustainable development, poverty reduction, governance, and social justice. Graduates will be equipped for careers in non-governmental organizations, international development agencies, government ministries, and community-based initiatives, or pursue further academic study in related fields. Key skills developed include critical thinking, problem-solving, research, and effective communication regarding development challenges and solutions.
