Academic Mission

The Bachelor of Environmental Health Science program at the Islamic University in Uganda equips students with a comprehensive understanding of the interactions between human health and the environment. This undergraduate degree focuses on identifying, evaluating, and controlling environmental factors that impact public well-being. Students will explore topics such as water and sanitation, food safety, waste management, air quality, and occupational health. The curriculum emphasizes scientific principles, risk assessment methodologies, and practical application of control strategies. Graduates will be prepared for careers in government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and private industries focused on environmental protection and public health.
