S4 REMEDIAL 845/1 ENTREPRENEURSHIP APRIL MAY PAPER I This paper consists of section A and B. There are four examination items. Section A has 2 compulsory items. Se ction B has 2 compulsory item SECTION A Item 1. Amina is a 30 -year-old aspiring entrepreneur living in Mbarara town. For the past two years, she has been working as a sales agent and saving part of her income. She has also received financial support from her family and a small loan from a SACCO. In tota l, Amina has successfully mobilized UGX 12,000,000 as startup capital. Amina is now ready to start her own business, but she is facing a major challenge in deciding which business opportunity to pursue. She has identified several possible options, includi ng a retail shop, a poultry farm, a restaurant, and a mobile money business. However, she is unsure which of these businesses will be most profitable, sustainable, and suitable for her skills and the local market in Mbarara. In addition, Amina has little knowledge about the legal requirements for registering a business. She has heard that businesses must be registered with the relevant authorities, but she does not know the procedures, documents required, or the costs involved. She is worried that failure to follow the correct process may lead to penalties or closure of her business. Amina seeks your advice as a business student to help her make informed decisions.
