Progression to Primary Two (P2) is a significant milestone. Learners are now more confident, having mastered the basics of school life. The Shift to Primary 2

In P2, the Thematic Approach continues, but with a slight shift in focus:

• Expanded Themes: The 12 themes (including Transport, Accidents and Safety, Peace and Security) are explored in greater detail.
• Language Transition: While local language instruction may continue, there is an increased emphasis on Oral English to prepare for the transition in P4.
• Mathematical Operations: Children move from simple counting to addition and subtraction with larger numbers, and are introduced to multiplication concepts.
